If you are a Bride-To-Be you HAVE to attend Get Hitched Give Hope!!!! It is such an amazing event & it is coming up on October 27th at the Four Seasons. The idea for GHGH was hatched in late 2007 over a bottle of wine at a monthly networking event…aren’t all the best ideas fueled by vino?;) The question was raised “Wouldn’t it be great if there was an event that would bring members of the local wedding industry together AND raise money for a great cause?” A novel idea, there was nothing like it in the Seattle area. Over the next couple of months, Get Hitched, Give Hope was born. Now in it’s fourth year, it is a non profit organization that raises money to grant wishes for terminally ill patients through auctions of fabulous wedding goods and services. I attended two years ago after getting engaged, and was uber lucky to be the highest bidder on Barbie Hull‘s wedding photography package. We loved the event & the premise so much that Curtsy Bella was beyond happy to oblige when asked to get involved last year. We donated a $650 custom embroidery bridal package. The lovely & giving Bride & Groom To Be that were the highest bidders choose a bridal robe, hankies for their family members, boxers for the groomsmen, and monogrammed cosmetic bags for the bridesmaids.
This year, I was honored to be asked to be a part of the Event Design Team. It has been such a fantastic experience helping & getting to know the rest of the amazing team that work all year to fundraise, raise awareness & bring this event together. This is absolutely a not-to-be-missed event for all engaged couples!!! All the packages up for auction are donated by truly the best-of-the-best Seattle wedding vendors. Why not get a warm & fuzzy feeling knowing that moola you will be dishing out for your big day could help grant wishes for terminally ill patients?!
